How many members do you suppose have joined in the last 3 years?...10k or more?
And, for your edification, and my argument, I just looked at the 1st three pages of posts to prove this,...and there isn't even one member newer than 3 years in the posts!!!
So, even though my argument should be good, this means that even though this post is 3 years old, the members older than that still have comments to make, or don't remember the thread!!!
And, remember, we are mostly baby boomers, and as we get older as a group, we will be inflicted the ailment known as CRS (for Can't Remember Sh*t), or have Alzheimers altogether, in which case, every thread will be new every day.
PS If anyone from GM is reading this: MAKE A HIGHER GEAR AN OPTION FOR THE C6, SO US VETTSTERS THAT WANT MORE OF MUSCLE CAR THAN A TOURING SPORTS CAR, CAN HAVE A CHOICE. Think about it, you can charge an extra $1200 or so to give an option of say a 3.42 over a 2.56 or 2.73, and it doesn't cost you anything more, so it's pure profit, so you can make higher bonuses.

1. An interior light switch that lets you know when it's on or off. The combo dimmer/light switch is moronic.
2. Rear view mirror light swiches that push in for on and out for off. They're the opposite of that now.
3. Auto up windows, instead of just auto down.
4. Get some of the light functions off stalks and give them dedicated switches.
5. A power seatback. The manual one is clumsy and awkward to use.
6. Better rubber than the current tires.
7. A quality, high power reserve battery.
8. Tighter build, especially doors and windows, to keep rattles to a minimum.
9. A more integrated radio/climate control module. The current design looks like the components were just thrown together.
10. A front plate bracket that is actually part of the design rather than a stick-on piece of crap.
11. New, more vibrant colors.
I could go on ...

But, if members want to waste their time blabbing at GM, isn't what you're doing worse,...telling them not to waste their time, when they probably won't listen to you anymore than GM isn't listening to them?

Remember DBS? That was a problem that was reported and investigated at length here. Some members of this board actually were in touch with GM engineers. GM did finally respond with a team that eventually isolated the problem and developed a TSB to fix it. Complaints about the interior were dealt with ... weakly, but there was a response. Calls for a widebody treatment were answered with the GS introduction. Audio controls on the steering wheel? Done. Better finish on the polished whhels? Also done.
I think GM does, in fact, listen. Economics and production limitations invariably limit what they can practically do to respond to customer complaints; but I really think they do listen and attempt to deal with the most critical comments. I don't think threads like this one are a waste of time, mainly because they point out areas where the C6 can be improved. Eventually many of the complaints voiced publically are addressed.

I didn't read the entire thread but my request is a simple one. How about a simple lockout switch for the trunk button on the key fob. I've popped my hatch sitting in the car and I've come out in the morning to find my hatch open because something in my pocket accidentally hit the trunk button.
