Sounds like a great deal - I would check the rear wheel wells for evidence of massive burnouts!

It's bound to happen. This time next year, you should be able to buy a used c6 z in the upper 40's. It's like any other special production car. Thousands over MSRP when they first hit the dealers, then they sell for MSRP, then you can get them for under MSRP. And last, the market sees plenty of used ones, and bam! A car someone once paid 80K+ for can be had for 1/2 the price.

I think that's about right. 2 years old, and if it's a base model it's MSRP was 65K

be very careful and do your homework. if it sounds too good to be true...there's usually a reason why. any of the cheap (sub 60), used 06 Z's I've seen always seem to have a "history" that bites people in the rear. i hope thats not this car your looking at, and even if it's not, check it thoroughly!:

Looks like someone was fishing for the lemon law to bail them out of a car they couldn't hope to pay for. Its common for people rather than get the car repoed In Washington you have to give the dealer three shots at fixing the problem then you can start the process. Usually people come in and say" it stalls on the freeway" or "the brakes quit but they work now" some vague description that would be almost impossible to diagnose. Rather than have a lemon law car they just buy it back and charge the owner for the miles . The car then can get sold without a 'Lemon Law" black mark on the title . What I'm seeing is a issue with the trim or a water leak ( the carpet but I don't think so since they didn't replace it later on in the cars life.)

My guess - some broke azz want to be player who got in over his or her head and had to bail but got stuck for the $10,000 "adjusted market value" and couldn't sell it and there credit was so bad they couldn't trade the car and roll the negative equity into a cheaper car.

If you sell the car in 6 months the warranty claims may and I say MAY be in issue, but in 6 or 7 years it will be a old worn out underpowered Chevy ( think Zo1) , Maybe its just me but if I can save $10k on the buy in that's $10K less I have to try and recover in the end.

Not to throw sand but some minor trim issues and a half shaft to save $10K is a now brainer , buy a 100k service contract from the dealer at there price and don't look back.

I don't see anything listed that would stop me from buying that car. It looks like the owner was "nit picking" the hell out of it. Now if I saw repeated electrical or mechnical problems with whole sale replacement of parts pieces and or issues reported with the motor/drive train I'd probably run away from that car.

Am I missing something in that list of warranty claims???

I don't keep-up on prices for used Z06's but I agree with BLU-BY-U....it's the old adage....if it sounds too good to be true it generally is. Good luck but buyer beware.

Good point.. Doesn't sound "too good to be true" if that's the case.

... considering GM is still grinding then out like Jimmy Dean’s sausage the used Z market is poised to come back to earth. Depreciation is going to land on Z's just like other vettes in the coming months! If buyers are smart they'll let the market come to them. I'm not paying 60 grand for an almost 2 year old car that had a new MSRP in the mid 60's! What someone else paid isn’t my problem it’s theirs!

Maybe someone was fishing for a buyback, but the car was "resealed" at least 4 times, and the carpet was replaced as well. How on earth was the car needing to be "resealed" 4 times? The other stuff appears to be minor mechanical stuff, but there also appears to be some electrical (the windshield mouldings cause this?) issues. Not certain about this car - it might not be as good a deal as some think it is.
