Default 2005 Repair Log

Well I just had my second problem with my '05 :

* Read End Chatter - repaired at 12K (aprox.) miles
* Passenger's Power Window Regulator/Motor fails at 30K miles

All in all, I do not believe that is a bad repair record for a car with over 30K miles. How are the rest of the '05's doing? If you have an '05, please post your problems (if any). Thanks!

Only issue has been the driver side door rattle. Other than that car has been great for 21K miles

05 with 23,500 miles

Rear end chatter with fluid change, clutch pack in rear end, broken right rear axle (done by a valet), radio swap...

Not great compared to a Japanese car...But I love the Corvette.

05 Vert with 18,000 miles:

Fuel level card replacement (warranty)
New tires @ 13,000 (F51) (wish it was warranty!)

and that's about it.
Why doesn't Consumer Reports ask me about frequency of repair?

I consider my 2005 C6 to be extremely reliable and trouble-free (albeit with a different engine in the car)....

- OnStar antennae module replaced when I first picked-up the car
- roof panel replacement
- fuel door actuator replaced
- I had one other minor problem which I do not attribute to GM

I sometimes read other people knocking GM products....my 2001 3/4 ton, 496 cu in, 4x4 Suburban has been 'bullet-proof.' With 100,000 miles on the odometer (with routine maintenance) I've only had to replace the water pump.

Only had my 05 for a week. Past record shows a door handle replace and a rear hatch adjustment, that's all. But I will tell everyone this, if you have the m6, change your clutch fluid! Mine has 15k miles and I used a turkey baster to drain and refill my fluid. Do this about six times, pumping the clutch between fills untill the fluid is clear. I used synthetic dot 4 and my clutch is so much smoother and eaiser to shift now.

Even though I will need tires again shortly everything think about this car is great.

13000 trouble free miles. Only time in the shop was for squeaky brakes when they were still replaced under warranty.
