Default Sorry No 0% Financing or Rebates on Corvette for Memorial Day

I am sitting her at Home watching the GM Webcast for the Memorial Day Sales Event. Gm is not offering any programs for the holiday weekend on Corvettes. I have received many PM,s and E-mails from customers wondering if GM would have a promotion.

From all indications it looks like GM is going to continue there current direction with the incentives.

If you are looking to buy a new 2007 Corvette but you were holding out to see what might happen you might want to buy now while the discounts are great and the selection is still good.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wanted to get this out.

They're supposed to park in the used cars for sale section because he just took the customer's car in as a tradein on a new car.

I'm sure several here are sad to hear the news about 0% financing.

Thats great news. I hate it when GM (and others auto mfrs) de-value their cars by offering incentives that come and go.

Based on what GM has been telling us that is their thinking exactly. They are taking other steps beyond just the incentives to help increse the value of the GM products, one of which is lowering the number of cars they give this year to rental fleets by 40,000

The Boardwalk Vette is not doing too much sitting this summer. I plan on having the car on as many runs and at as many events as I can this year. I took it out Yesterday for its inagural trip on the 6th Annual Hooters cruise. It was great getting to hang out with the members from the forum and put faces with the names. The driving wasn't bad either

Thanks for that information. I've owned many, many cars. Quite a few have been GM, quite a few foreign. Even a few Fords

I will admit that I think GM is going the right direction.

I was rather annoyed at the 0% deal back in February when I had just purchased my new Vette barely one month earlier.

Default Resale...

Not sure how much the 0% effects resale vs. the rebates (which i think do affect teh resale w/ crazy discounts), which they don't usually put on vett's anyway. I will say, they (GM) don't give one much incentive (financially) now to buy an 07 vs. ordering an 08. Something tells me in a month or two they may have to change that unless there are enough buyers not willing to wait for the 08's!

Default What incentive is there to buy an '07?

I would probably be quite happy taking an '07 off the lot right now, but seeing as both the '07 and the '08 can be had for about GMS price, why would I? For the same price the '08 gets a more powerful engine, improved steering, improved key fob, improved shifter. 0% APR would save about $9,000 off the total cost, and would sell me on an '07. Without such an incentive how do dealers expect to unload the '07 stock?
