I did Denver Pueblo, Colo. yesterday, started with over 1/16 from full tank at all city milage showing 21.5 mpg. Then all interstate down and back it weny to 28.5 mpg.
In Feb I did one on a full tank from Cheyenne, WY to Denver getting 30.3 until I got into traffic on the north side of Denver (82-84 mph). Still getting 27+ at the end.
Pretty amazing!!

I have just over 670 miles on my 07 vert Auto and I 'm not getting anywhere near what you guys and girls are getting. So far the best I have gotten on any trip is a two hour drive to Effingham Ill to Mid America Motors Works and could only get it to 25.3mpg. A lot worse in town. Hope it gets better with more miles. My C5 got 30+ highway at 75mph.

I also have the A4 with the 3.15 rear and my mpg numbers are in line with the original poster. I one time I left 26 psi in the rears I only got 24-25 mpg on a long trip. You might want to check the air pressure in your tires.

Yes, it's important to note if you have a coupe or vert, manual or auto, Z51 or non-Z51, when comparing mpg.
I took a near 7,000 mile trip in my `06 Z51 manual coupe... with passenger and luggage... maybe 70% highway and 30% high-speed mountain carving.
For the entire trip, the DIC said I averaged 26.9 mpg, but my very careful measurements and calculations yielded 27.45 mpg. I guess it’s safe to say the car averaged a solid 27 mpg in any case.
I kept an eye on the DIC average mpg reading the whole time: with windows up, AC off and speeds under 75 mph, I’d climb up to over 27 mpg. However, with top off or windows down or AC on, at speeds over 80 mpg, I’d drop down to as low as 26.2 mpg… but the average mpg reading never went under 26.2 mpg. This includes mountain twisty driving as well as some several hour traffic delays.
Remember the days when performance cars barely got 13 mpg? Good thing I sold mine before fuel prices shot up! My C6 is even faster and gets literately TWICE the mpg!
C6 = Low weight, excellent aerodynamics and ultra efficient gearing .

No complaints here. I have an '06 Z51 MN6 Vert. The best I've gotten is 26 highway, with the top up.
With the my '04 '06 Z51 MN6 Vert, I regularly went over 30 mpg.
