Default Thumbs up to Oasis Chevorlet!

Nothing but great things to say about Oasis Chevorlet! My 2005 Z51 shut down on me last sat. The motor seized up. To make a long story short My crank pulley pop off 2 times, the last time it was fixed by a dealer in new york. after they fixed it i kept hearing a ticking noise at idle, I took it back to them and they said it was normal.(Took it back 3 times!) the ticking seemed to get louder, only at idle. This went on for 2 months. Last sat. the ticking became very loud and the car shut off, and I had to have it towed the nearest dealer (Oasis Chevorlet Rt9 old bridge NJ.). They took the motor a part and found that the crank broke inside. So they had to contact GM. They are now sending me a brand new crate motor They applogized for the other dealer not picking up the ticking noise. Thumbs up to Oasis!

What a disaster. Keep us informed of your progress and also the experience with the dealer as time and repairs continue.

I'm willing to bet that it's a rod bearing or crankshaft bearing froze up! A dealership didn't know that???

They kept telling that all vettes make a ticking noise, and that it was normal! I had my oil changed 2 weeks ago and they gave me the repair sheet and it stated "customer complains of ticking noise at idle, checked ticking noise normal" then the changed my oil.
