Installed New Door Sills Today PICS!!
I installed new Billet Aluminum Door Sills today and took the liberty of taking some pics in case anyone wondered how difficult this task may be.
OEM DOOR SILLS
USED A HAIR DRYER AND PLASTIC KNIFE TO REMOVE STICKERS
APPLIED GOO GONE AND GENTLY SCRAPED REMAINING GLUE OFF { waited 30 min to let soak first }
WIPED WITH CLOTH AND WASHED THOROUGHLY WITH DAWN AND WARM WATER. THEN ISOPROPAL ALCOHOL WAS USED FOR FINAL CLEANING OF SURFACE
THE MOMENT OF TRUTH
STUNNING DIFFERENCE.
You can view more details and pics of this install at the following URL:

Hope this helps a few people out who were thinking of doing this. It was quite easy.

MONARTOR
due care... altho they are much more substantial than the old type. My old ones peeled right off with the hair dryer method. cleanup with 3m adhesive remover... no scratches

I contacted a number of vendors about two weeks ago including West Coast Corvettes. Back Order was the info I got from everyone except Mid America. West Coast said they can't keep up with demand.
They really ADD to the car and look like it came with the car as say....an upgrade package. Made by the General to boot. I highly recommend them.

They get the job done.
The pics aren't bad, but GIF is a format better suited for graphics or such where there are large areas of continuous non-textured color. For photos, jpg is much better.
