Looks great

Is there any surface coating to protect them from scrapes and scratches or is due care the only method?

due care... altho they are much more substantial than the old type. My old ones peeled right off with the hair dryer method. cleanup with 3m adhesive remover... no scratches

I installed the same ones around New Years. I bought mine from West Coast Corvettes; don't forget to ask for 10% discount.

I contacted a number of vendors about two weeks ago including West Coast Corvettes. Back Order was the info I got from everyone except Mid America. West Coast said they can't keep up with demand.

They really ADD to the car and look like it came with the car as say....an upgrade package. Made by the General to boot. I highly recommend them.

Sorry about the picture qualities guys. My first time uploading. Pics were very fine from a 4 megapixel Canon but I saved and uploaded them as GIF files.

Much easier than I had thought, so I guess I have another project to add to the list! Thanks.

I like the new ones but see them getting scratched etc so have not swapped mine out and doubtful I will. Looks nice but not user friendly for me.

Your right.... but here's a thought; If the new sills are flush with the sill itself, he can buy the "clear sill covers" and protect them! You can still see the billet through the clear plastic!

Am I right?

The pics aren't bad, but GIF is a format better suited for graphics or such where there are large areas of continuous non-textured color. For photos, jpg is much better.
