Default Removal of the safety stickers on visor

Greetings - is there a safe way to remove the safety stickers from the visors on a C6. I'd be inclined to try a heat gun - gently.

Thoughts?

The sticker will come off but you will be left to deal with the sticky residue that remains. Nothing I have found removes it.

I used a heat gun, still have some residue, but I've been told 3m makes an adhesive remover of some sort that will remove it.

It appears to be screen printed on the visor. It won't just peel off.

Use a hair dryer on high heat, then use a generic adhesive remover with a stiff brush.

Or, you can buy stick-on labels from C6DecalDesigns to cover the OEM labels. That's what I did on my 06.

You beat me to it. They work great and look good. While you are at it look at the dash plaques too.

I heated up the visor with a hair dryer and they peeled right off. Doesn't take a high wattage hair dryer long to heat them, they got nice and soft and came off in one piece. Then I removed what was left of the adhesive with goo gone. I also used an old toothbrush to restore the nap.

In direct sunlight I can vaguely see a shadow of where the sticker was but it's not too noticeable. In time my guess is that will wear off. It still came out well and looks a lot better than those ugly stickers. Or you can just get another sticker to cover them up like others have suggested. Good luck.

I looked at mine again. I guess you're right about it being a label, but it looked printed on the visor. Another option is to get it covered in leather by one of the Forum vendors. In my vert the visor and headliner are the same material and I was wondering if I could buy the headliner material and have an upholstery shop fashion new covers for the visors. Just a thought.

Default sticker removal

This topic has been extensively explored on the forum. Run a search and see the several ways to remove these miserable stickers. My technique which appears unique, worked like a charm with no glue residue remaining. In good light you can see a shadow outline where the sticker formerly resided, but it is in no way objectionable. But, be very careful or you'll end up with a monumental mess.
