Default Deal or no deal?

I've found a 2007 Victory Red/Ebony coupe, 3LT, F55 and Nav. MSRP is $53685 and the dealer will not go below $48,099 which is $5586 off MSRP or roughly the GMID price. With the 08's beining announced soon do you all think I can do better?

Probably. Check with some of the Forum's supporting dealers and see what kind of price they would give you.

Please check that MSRP again...it sounds off about $3-5K.

Good luck!

Base price - 44170
Destination - 825
3LT - 4945
F55 - 1995
Nav - 1750

MSRP - 53685
Sale price - 48099

A Forum dealer can order me one for about $400 less. It would have to be shipped and I don't know if the local dealer will accept a courtesy delivery or request some cash for their effort.

Thanks. I checked their website and unfortunately they didn't have anything that appealed to me. The problem is this is the one that meets by specs. I think I'll wait till the end of the month. Hopefully it will be raining. That's worked for me before.

I'd go for it. The price is right on GMID/Supplier. It is 558 over invoice. If this is the car you want, configured the way you want don't nickle and dime. Some say the '07's will be deep discounted and that could be but I don't believe it will happen until June when the '08's start rolling off the line and competing for space on the dealer lots. Of course, just my thoughts and others will have their's. If I want the car I will pay a little more for it.

Sounds reasonable but do a sanity check with Kerbeck and others on the forum.

I'm a former B-1B WSO with the Georgia Air National Guard. Presently I'm a Mission Crew Commander on the E-8C JSTARS and also the GA ANG liasion to Georgia Homeland Security. Prior to my Air Force career I was in the Navy as an A-6E B/N with VA-145 and deployed aboard USS Ranger.
I'm leaning towards the deal. Just have to make the jump.

From my past to your past -

Thanks for your continued service. Take the deal, you're just a cat shot away from driving the greatest American sportscar.

Thanks for your support. Twenty years ago when I graduated AOCS I bought a "69 L-46 coupe with the M22. Chicks in Pensacola really dug that car and it looked good in front of Trader Jon's and McGuires. This would be kind of like an anniversary present.

I wish I had one in Pensacola. Shame Trader Jon's is gone. Get yourself that present.

Must be a stick with no polished or chrome wheels...makes sense now.

My 2006 MSRP was at $52635 without Nav but with polished wheels, 3LT, and automatic.

Good luck!

In the entire scheme of things you could be looking at a very small difference in the monthly payment.

Get him to add an extended warranty. That will make the deal sweet.

If you've found a car that meets your specs AND it's at a local dealer AND you can get it for that price, there's little point in negotiating further over a few hundred bucks or in waiting for them to come down more. The fact is, even though I suppose it's possible to shave a little more off the price, the deal the dealer is giving you is a very fair one to both sides. The dealer will make a few bucks (which they're certainly entitled to do) and you're getting a great car at a great price. I say, "Pull the trigger, feel good about it, and don't look back!"

If it's what you want and the price is right, I say go for it.

I was a boiler tender on an aircraft carrier. (USS Bennington) Does that make me a Navy air guy?

Based on the info given and assuming it's an A6 trans.
Total MSRP:* $55,015.00
Supplier Price:*** $49,320.65

Manual trans.
Total MSRP:* $53,765.00
Supplier Price:*** $48,275.65

F55's are getting hard to find in stock.
