Replace Seat Covers, DIY Job?
I want to replace the leather seat covers on my C6. Is this a do it yourself job, or best left to a trim shop? I have seats with heat and side airbags, not sure if that complicates the problem.

If you have some mechanical aptitude, it can be done with patience and time. I installed a set of Vette Essentials covers last year on my C5. It was a 12 hour job (I'm a little slow)....but they turned out excellent.
The C6 seats will have some additional complexity due to the seat heaters and airbags. Give DS Vettes or Vette Essentials a call....I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
Bryan.

Not that hard of a job,but tedious.A while back there was an excellent post on not only changing the covers, but padding the frame around the bolsters to help prevent wear on the bolster edges where contact is made entering the car.The pliers you will need are available from the Eastwood Company.Make sure to disconnect the battery before removing the seats so as to avoid any issues with the side airbags or codes showing up on the DIC when everything is put back together.Relax and enjoy it.Your friends will be impressed that you did it yourself.

In the picture where you take the C clip out of the seat back release handle, how about the button/**** that slides the seat forward / back etc adjustment. I cant figure out how that button comes off without breaking it
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I have most of the seats done. The air bag is no big deal.
Its got a plastic wrap, that screws in and out around it.
Thats no problem.
The whole installation is pretty simple. Removing the button on the side of the seat, is the only thing on the whole isntallation I cant figure out. Everything else, even with the highest end seat, is no problem. Its pretty self explanatory. And with these pictures its even easier.
Does anyone know what I would _call_ that button? So I can get a little more help?
Without it off, the seat side (plastic console) wont come off.

What DSVettes seat covers for C6? There's nothing on their website about any seat covers. Gerado, is there some place to lookup the whole line of your products for C6?

The power movement button (fore/aft and tilt) pops off with a little pull outboard. It is just snapped onto the switch posts. The seatback tilt lever you can use a thin screwdriver to pust the 'C' clip out of the slot.
