Pitty not on the C6. What is odd is my son's 2005 Cadillac STS allows DVD's to be played when in Park. We sat in the car and watched some of Talladega Nights on the caddy's 8" VGA screen with the Bose 15 speaker 5.1 surround sound audio system cranked, I was blown away. What a neat feature, oh and the caddy guys have figured out the by-pass. And the caddy's Bose system is spectacular compared to the vette's. I wonder how that is???

PS: The Corvette has an EGA LCD screen and I'm sure movies wouldn't look real sharp and crisp like they do on a VGA LCD.

Burning Brakes
If you really want it to play DVD's then check out this link. I have not tried this but it was posted on this forum some time ago. The only problem I have with it is if the actual unit fails, your out the $500 you spent to convert it plus the time it took to uninstall & reinstall.
