Museum Visit
We're visiting the museum next week and staying overnight in Bowling Green. Is there a motel that most Corvette owners stay, congregate, and swap stories?

There's a Hampton Inn one exit (or so) South of the plant & museum, with an Outback restaurant next door. Lots of other hotels & eating places on that road too--
Didn't do Museum Delivery but wish I did. Saw the plant and museum and can't wait to visit again!

Take a camera, and take more pictures than you think you'll want!! If a digital, have a nice SD card full of empty space!! Be sure to get all the "standard" poses of your car in the various places around the Museum. If you go to the factory across the way, there are some fun photo opportunity spots! Have fun!!
Here's my favorite:
As you look at this shot, the NCM is to the left, and the factory is to the right. This is the road the truckloads of new Vettes come out of the back of the factory on. I don't know, I just love this silly picture!

If your a member of the NCM I believe you get a discount at the Hampton Inn. When I did my museum delivery I received a discount.

Bed and Breakfast
We stayed at a great bed and breakfast (1869 Homestead) that was not far from the museum. 270-842-0510. They even have a garage to keep your car in overnight.

Last week I stayed at the Super 8 across the street from the museum. It is a newish (less than a year old), clean, very basic hotel. I wouldn't stay there if I was looking for a place to enjoy a vacation. However, I'm OK with a clean place to sleep.
I'll be there again a week from tomorrow on the eve of my museum delivery.

I stayed at the Super 8 a few weeks ago and thought it was great. I paid only $70 / night and they upgraded me to a suite with full kitchen, wall-mounted LCD TV. The Corvette factory is behind the Super 8 and the museum is just across the highway. (You can see it from the Super 8 parking lot.) I'd stay there again without hesitation.

I booked my corvette club's hotel stay at the super 8 hotel..I blocked a bunch of rooms and got each room for $63.00 plus tax. My club members wanted something not to pricey but nice and clean. They do have a pool and hot tub. Any one from the Dayton/ Centerville/Englewood/Brookville Ohio area want to go to the GM plant and do the NCM guided tour thing with us. On april 21st you can go to the kentucky motor speedway and spend $40 in the gift shop and in return you get 3 laps on the track behind the pace car.

We stayed at the Super 8 too. Right across from the museum. Pretty new place with a pool and your typical free breakfast. Not a vacation spot, but pretty handy for the museum delivery.

This is owned by Wendell Strode (the big gun at the NCM)& his wife.
A real nice place about 15 minuits from the NCM. We have stayed there and I do recomend it. We spent a few hours talking to Wendell before we went to bed to get ready for our next day pick up.

Cruise-In VII Veteran
When we did our NCM delivery we stayed at the Drury Inn, across the street from the Hampton Inn. We thought that Drury was nicer and they also gave us a Corvette discount. Stayed there 4 nights during the Cruise-in.

I just remembered that another forum member stayed at the Best Western and told me that it was good too. (If you're listening Joe, maybe you can give more info).
I remember that he said it had an indoor pool. You might want to look in to it if a pool is important to you.
I got to BG on Saturday night for a Tuesday Buyer's Tour. I brought my kids with me and the indoor pool would have been nice to have.
