Emblems ripped off, pics inside
Hey guys,
Someone tore the emblems both front and rear off of my car.
Does anyone have any part numbers to repair this? Does the adhesive come with the replacement emblems?
Is anyone making interesting aftermarket emblems?
Anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here? Maybe leave them off and seal the holes?
Advice on how to get this adhesive off?
Thanks!

Jeez, some people are such jacka***s. Try http://www.gmpartshouse.com and do a search. These emblems should be easy to find. Adhesive should come with the new emblems and you can try goo gone to remove the old adhesive. I would test in an inconspicuous area first though. Sorry for your loss. Reminds me of the cheapskates out there who steal hood ornaments. Good luck.

Corvette Front Bumper Emblem, 2005-2007 .
Also, any chevy dealer can order them for you.
BTW, I'm sure some stupid kids did that. I'm glad you didn't catch them. You might be in jail if you did.

They do come with the adhesive on them. I just ordered one from Fitchner for my new battery cover that I bought from Pipedreams.
What's that white stuff past the outline of you emblems? Did they screw up the paint too?

Man that sucks, the world is full of cowards, and one (or more) of them came across your car. May be for the best you didn't catch them, although I'd vote to acquit anyone who broke all the fingers of someone they caught doing this. Let us know what you do.

an alternative, if you park in an area that has the kinda people that do this is to....
using fishing line, very small test lb. or even dental floss; Place along one edge and in a tree saw fashion work back and forth behind the emblem to cut/pull it off. Use your favorite degreaser/cleaner to remove glue residue and then buff away any marks left.
The result, a clean emblem free monotone styled sports car look with no temptations for people to steal what's not there!!!!
I dd that to my harley and will do it soon to the vet, hell everyone knows its a badd *** car, I don't need the emblem to prove it. and if i sell I can always reglue emblems back on!!

Some kids in my neighborhood tried to pry mine off. When I confronted their parents about the attempted vandalism, they denied it was their children, who are infallible angels even when witnessed in the act.

What a damn shame. I hope you get your car back to suit you.
