i have a 2005 C6. My car got hit in the rear and now the CD player says CD MECH ERROR or somthing. the radio works fine. I was thinking the CD's are jamed i know most of you take your car into the dealer to get fixed but my has salvage title and void warranty so i was j/w if anyone has ever fixed their cd player?

Good luck trying to fix that thing yourself. Just had mine replaced. It said COMM ERROR. An aftermarket player will probably be cheaper than GM radio.

I get a Comm Error when I put a CD in my player. I have a 2006 and I am looking into an aftermarket with Navigation.
