Default New 15 Spoke GM Accessory Wheel

I really like this new wheel from the GM Vehicle Accessory Center. But I paid about $1,200 for the optional "polished" aluminum wheel (RPO QG7), so I am having trouble justifying the expense of the new wheels when my polished factory wheels are good as new.

The new wheels are pretty nice......you can probably offer your polished wheels for sale on the Forum & at least recover some of your cost.

The close-up looks good but I would like to see the whole car with a set.

I like em. I knew that I was going to replace mine, so I ordered mine with the stock grey wheels.

Default What a difference a couple of months make

Funny, now they look good. Last November when KERBECK CORVETTE (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...light=15+spoke) offered two sets (and I bought one of the two), almost everyone hated them. In some cases rater rudely. From all of that I thought I’d be the only one with a set. Nice to see that I’m not alone. I’ve been waiting for Spring and new tires before mounting them. Like them even more seeing them on a real car, instead of a Photoshoped one.

Pretty, but they look annoying to clean. Not as bad as OZ Superleggaras, which drive me crazy, but I'm into easy to clean wheels lately. The stock base wheels are a pleasure in this regard. This new accessory wheel also looks very much like the stock wheels on the new Saturn sedan. Of course, the 06-07 steering wheel shows up elsewhere too.

still wish OZ made the ultraleggera (or whatever it is?) in the same finish as the C6R. I guess this is Chevy's knockoff, but I wish they offered them painted at least.

I have those OZs on my 07 BMW 328XI coupe and BOY they take some cleaning!!!!! The chrome C6 are just about the easiest wheels to maintain. I do not like the 15 spoke wheel on the Corvette.

Full retail is about $2,700. Everything is negotiable.
I will not quote dealer cost.

These wheels are stronger and lighter than the standard factory wheel. This makes it better for pot holes and tracking.

Did that help justify it for you?

Big, stronger? Are you sure about that? Not arguing, just asking.

I don't like them much. How much do they weigh, they don't look lighter.

They look similar to the ones shown in the 2006 accessory catalog I kept asking my dealer about those but as it turns out were never actually made available! Do you know if these come in competition gray?
