Default Pics of 08 Bluestream

ok, not really. These are all photoshops. I liked the Mulsanne blue from way back when I had someone chop me that color onto the NCM calendar photo. Then I went in and made a competition grey version. But if you want to rumor they are real, go ahead.

So, this very well could be exactly what the Bluestream 08 looks like. I like it alot!

Possibly the Silver "Split Spokes":

Competition Grey "Split Spokes":

GM 15 Spoke Optional Wheels:

i really like the competition grey wheels. maybe in my garage in a year or two.

I don't know that Bluestream would be my color preference but it is a nice looking color. Definitely....go with the split-spoke wheels. The comp grey are way too 'dull' looking and the 15-spoke wheels are way too 'busy.'

I prefer LMB over that particular blue.

If I had another blue to choose from I would opt for the the Laguna Blue that I've seen on a few BMW M3's. For me it strikes a balance between the LMB and the Bluestream.

ok, bear with me cause i suck at photoshop, but i had nothign to do today so i played around with it. Tried to build it the way id want it.

so i:
-lowered and increased wheel size. probably something like a 20/21 combo
-made wheels darker. black.
-painted calipers body color
-tinted windows
-made seat red
-blacked out side markers and GM emblem

The Pix are pretty cool.
Not the shade of Blue that I would like to have, but would stand out for sure.
It will be interesting to see what it really looks like when they release it.
Were all waiting......

All I've got to say is I guess they will learn what BMW learned, Laguna Seca Blue doesn't sell well....... I know it's not actually the new blue and it's not like LSB but it might as well be!

Well, maybe this will help put the color blue into perspective for C4, C5, and C6 folks.

Bluestream [08-xx]
Le Mans Blue [04-07] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Electron Blue[02-03] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Navy Blue [98-01] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Nassau Blue [97-00] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Admiral Blue [94-96] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Bright Aqua [92-96] http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...=Search+Images
Quasar Blue [90-93] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Steel Blue [90-91] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...te&btnG=Search
Dark Blue [88-89] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Medium Blue [84-89] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...22&btnG=Search
Light Blue [84-85] http://images.google.com/images?svnu...te&btnG=Search
...
...
Mulsanne Blue[70-71] http://images.google.com/images?q=co...=Search+Images

Google seemed to be able to only find some of these colors in a C3 version ...

I really liked Le Mans Blue and Monterey Red. It's hard to imagine that
Bluestream or Crystal Claret will be as good. Not good ...

I think GM is making a mistake by replacing LMB with this shade of blue. I think this is/would be my least favorite color of any C6 to date.

This isn't coming from GM, we're all just guessing or hoping what the new Bluestream is going to look like.

I don't follow trends, but if darker blues are going out, I suspect the new blue will be lighter. I read that LBM is being replaced due to the fact they are not able to match the color between panels. The new blue was said to be lighter to avoid this problem... Sounds fishy to me as my NBM 01 was a darker blue and all panels looked fine. I for one prefer darker metallic blues, and so I am bummed about the new blue... I could either buy an 07 and get the color I want or buy an 08 and get a better motor and either get my second choice (silver) or gamble on the new blue. Nassau blue, despite the following, IMO just doesn't work on a newer vette. It belongs on the mid-years where some chrome was common, not on new cars where the light blue just does not work.
