Default New C6 Being Built Week Of 12/18

Should I be concerned that my new C 6 is being
built on the same week that the Bowling Greenfactory is closing for Christmas and New Year?

Will the quality standards remain in effect when the employees will
be planning for Christmas parties etc?

That's weird... Mine was bumped to the week of January 8th because of the closure...or, so I was told...

Having actually worked in an automotive assembly plant many years ago, I can say that I saw no difference based on day of week or time of year. People either care about what they do on their jobs or they don't.

No problem. Your car will go thru the assembly line like all the others and it will be tested at the end of assembly.

My C6 is being built next week as well. I guess we will have to compare notes and see how we make out. Last status update I got was 3300 for my order and I was told that number last Saturday.

I'm more worried about getting a car built the week after New Years! I ordered mine 11/13 and it is scheduled for the week of Jan 8th. I just hope there aren't many Ohio State fans that work the line - they'll all be hung over from the Nat'l Championship game that week.

Haha, just hope they are not trying to build it during the Christmas party. People sometimes get sloppy at those events!

Mine is also scheduled for the week of 8 Jan '07 and I have no worries. If you have been to the Bowling Green Assembly plant you know that critical items are computer controlled and the QC at the end is very good. This is my second vette and I'm just looking forward to enjoying it.

Mine was just built this week. I've got a VIN ending with 20128. Doesn't that mean they've already built more than 20,000 07 C6's? And they started when......September? That's alot of cars in 3-1/2 months.
I would be worried about the quality, but these guys at the factory really do a great job.,
By the way, I take Museum delivery next Thursday, the 21st. Y'all tune in to the web cam at the Museum site and check it out. I'm getting a silver coupe.
Congrats to you, too.
