Tom, I'm not that crazy about the looks of those BSM on the C6, but I've run into more and more situations where I almost need something.
Based on your having seen them up close, does it look like the last 4-6 inches of the door is still unprotected?

Totally useless and detracts from the fine lines of the car. 
Yeah, I feel the same way. They weren't on my C5 and I liked it that way.

I'm usually not a big fan of BSM but I like it on my C5. It breaks up the expanse on the door I guess.
I don't like it on the C6. It detracts from the body lines.
