Default Yet another stupid stoplight challenge

Going home last night. Stop for a light, and some POS Eclipse pulls up in the lane to my right. I wasn't paying attention until the light turned green and this mental midget chirps his front tires pulling away. I couldn't help laughing, he was moving so slow. Obviously trying for a display of speed, but just managed to look and sound like azz.
This kind of thing happens all the time. Funny thing, it's never a nice car, always a POS that looks like it was pulled out of a lake.

I pulled up next to an older Civic a couple days ago that had a really loud fart can muffler. He reved a few times, so I gave it maybe half throttle and suddenly he wasn't there any more. What are these guys thinking?

These things happen all the time when you have a fast car, especially an iconic brand name like Corvette. I find all the attention very entertaining when I am out cruising around!

I'm in a small town and do not get many of these folks pull up to me. Maybe it's because I take alot of back roads. OR maybe they know I have a BLACK C6 (word must have gotten around that it's the fastest color )

New to corvettes with my new c6..and i already have had guys pull up next to me trying to get me to race. Haven't had any top end cars try to race me yet. Its funny..i just go half throttle and it's by by. Not worth the gas IMO.

You guys should come down to where I live on a Wednesday or Friday night. Every single rice mobile that leaves Raceway Park wants to continue the fun on Rt 9 and Rt 18.

There is nothing quite like the sensation of having a 4 door Accord and a base civic with a 9" tach and "5 sideways muffler tip throwing revs at you while you are sitting in traffic.... at a red light.

On a recent Saturday morning I was at a stoplight and a Ford GT pulled up, I heard it before I glanced over, and noticed all the racing stripe stuff. It was an old guy like me. We both nodded and drove away, obeying traffic and laws. It was awesome.

When I first bought my 350Z a couple of years ago, I had a kid pull up next to me at a light in a Hyundi Tiburon... he revved it up and looked at me. I revved back and then the light changed. He peeled out (weakly I might add), and I executed a perfectly normal takeoff. We get to the enxt light and he flipped me off for not racing him, and I was literally LMAO

It's crazed fathers in minivans that are my bane. 9 times out of ten they'll try to cut me off from a lane change if they see me coming up on them. Frickin' wannabees.

The guys in REAL cars stopped racing me, so then all I was left with was ricers and pick-ups who think they're Richard Petty or Vin Diesel. Got bored, went to track more often, I had a long line behind me in staging, but oddly enough, no one would line up beside me....finally had to race against guys with slicks.

*** refering to my former ride:346ci LS1 : LS6 intake/head/cam/procharger@6lbs boost/rear air bags/street tires(what was I thinking?) 11.43 @121mph 1/4(....1.9/2.1 60ft avg) used goodyear eagle GS-D3 for rear tires. Made for interesting 1/8th at least...lol

Minivans...SUVs...anything you can't see through or around. They should all be banned from public hwys and streets. When the roads were built , they didnt know that sometime in the 90's car companies were going to get retarded and make trucks and suvs the size of small communities. Some of these folks are the worse drivers too, because they feel invinsible in their fortress of bad gas mileage.

I had a Lambo Gillardo(???spelling???) roll up beside me at hwy speeds on I85 one day....ashamed that a State trooper was two cars back from him. It would've looked cool from the troopers dash cam though!!!

Yep, I know the feeling. Was on a cruise this weekend, while on a main st in the center of town (2 lane road) doing about 25mph, a late 90's Volvo sedan pulls up with 4-5 teenagers. They look over and proceed to hammer the gas, the Volvo (automatic) drops a gear, the engine makes a bunch of noise, and they SLOWELY pull away then slam on the brakes as the light ahead was red.

Me and my friend just laugh and as we pass them at the next intersection I give the thumbs down, haha. I haven't had anything even worth punching the gas for yet, I never street race anymore anyway so even if something worthy pulled up I'm 99% sure I wouldn't even bother.
