premium all the time.
top-tier premium whenever possible.
lucas or bg44k fuel treatment every once in awhile (every 5-10 tanks or so).

I've never put a drop of regular gas in any of the Corvettes I've owned, so I can not answer your question. I don't know if anyone on the forum can answer it either.

I've never had the opportunity to notice. I've never put below 93 octane in, and I never will. The manual states:
Gasoline Octane
Use premium unleaded gasoline with a posted octane of
91 or higher for best performance. You may also use
middle grade or regular unleaded gasoline rated at 87
octane or higher, but your vehicle’s acceleration may be
slightly reduced. If the octane is less than 87, you may
get a heavy knocking noise when you drive. If this occurs,
use a gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher as soon as
possible. Otherwise, you might damage your engine.
That's good enough for me. YMMV.

LOL - I like the cheap beer for premium gas part...
I used both Regular and Premium ( a month at a time ) on my commute and noticed no difference. That, of course, depends on how you drive. I suspect if one pushes redline frequently, there will be a difference. I put 3000 miles a month on the car, so the cost is worth considering.

Burning Brakes
Regular 87 octane for most other cars, otherwise you are wasting your money. Premiuim 92 or better only for the Vette.

You will lose about 10-15 peak HP going with regular, and you should not feel a difference with normal driving. At 'normal' rpms the HP loss will be even less.
You also should not hear ping once the car's computer resets itself to the lower octane fuel.

I ran my 05 A4 /3.15 F55 last week at the track. As a baseline before doing any mods, I ran it with 87 octane. I've been driving it with both 87 and 94 and really can not see much on the street as far as performance or mileage. At the track the car ran a poor 13.40 @ 105 with a 2.0 60'. I am going to run it again this weekend with 94 and see what I get. From what I hear, the computer will retard timing to prevent damage when running 87. So, if you're not racing why waste the money.

WOOPS ...been using regular gas here. only adding high octane once in awhile. Feeling all sorts of stupid here
Will rectify next time at the pump.
Guess I'll have to make it up to my Vette tomarrow with a nice bath.
