Front fender rubbing on door
I just had a problem today with my passender side from fendor pinching/rubbing on the door lip. It's an '05 with about 9K on it and this is the first time it's happened. Has anybody seen this before? It was very strange, my girlfriend went to open the door and I heard it "pop" as the two lips of the panels pinched. I closed and opened it a couple more times to determine what the problem was and it did it twice more and then stopped as the gap between them opened a little. It did end up taking some paint off on the edges. It was about 75 degrees out, so not extremely warm. I'm wondering if the body panels or door has moved or became mis-alligned...or possible due to the temps??
Ideas??

Sounds like the door hinges have loosened or changed there adjustment. I would take it to the dealer and have them do a little warranty work on it and repaint the damaged area. There are four bolts holding the hinges to the body. They probably need adjusting.

My driver's side door started squeaking about a month ago after I drove it around on a super hot day. It finally went away this weekend, but I'm sure it will come back again when the high heat returns. (I have a black coupe too.)
Below are some threads I found from others with the same problem.
