No one forces you to take Musuem delivery. Those of us who did found it a great experience. If its your idea of a vacation to get a VIP tour of the museum and the plant, then the total cost may not be too high. If your just taking delivery then get it local.

Airfare was included with my museum delivery package. Hell, GM even paid me for the time I missed from work.

Museum delivery should be free. Look at the transport money they save.

Why would you think air fare was included in this program?

No, no airfare. A courtesy delivery at any dealer is going to run you $300 - $500 on average. You can't put a price on what you get out of the museum delivery. You either get it or you don't but there is no way to financially justifiy it.

Geez, maybe mine did include airfare, because I sure felt like I was flying all day!!!!!!

Seriously, I thought the $490 was the best priced option on the entire car. It was an absolutely fantastic day and I'll do it for every vette I buy.

If you check the facts on this the car is actually put on a transport to go to NCM therefore delivery is charged to GM from the transport company. Bottom line it's a union thing, GM saves no money due to contractual obligations. The same delivery fee is charged if you are a downtown Bowling Green dealer or Seattle dealer. NCM fee is charged to get the car preped there and associated expenses for presentation and plant tour, NCM is not directly supported by GM. With NCM you can count on a perfect car, if they find a problem it is taken back to the factory and corrected prior to delivery to you.

Same fee, even across the street! The museum delivery option was worth every penny to me.
