HDR Photography is a reletively new way of processing digital images. It stands for High Dynamic Range.
Basically, as a medium, photography has a very limited dynamic range -- about 300:1
So, if you have a very bright object outside, like a window and you want to shoot the interior of a house, you get the window blown out. Vise versa, shoot the window at correct exposure and you get dark foreground.
HDR photography is a way of taking multiple exposures of the same image and bringing them together to create a much higher dynamic range.

The HDR image is truly spectacular. Looks like the cover of a detective novel.
This thread makes me want to run out with my camera and take 100 photos, hoping that one of them will turn out to be a nice image. Problem I've found is that most digital cameras don't focus very well in low light.
