An Idiot or Fair Assessment?
Check out this rather long but entertaining video on how Europe feels about the latest Corvette and Z06 models.

or skip the article and go directly to the video

So, what'd you think?

you should see the one they did on the regular C6.
they made fun of the back bumper cause it's so flimsy.
they said it was rubbish.. then it beat the 997 GT3 around their track.

He has always been unfriendly toward the Corvette and I'm sure all American cars. One of the reasons he would not drive it on the streets is the steering wheel is on the wrong side. If the best sports car made was in America he would not admit it.

It is one of the farest reviews that there is for the Z06, he sowed exactly what the Z06 was capable off and exactly how it lacked in many areas. You are thinking US, this is UK, things are much smaller and hence the comment about it being worthy for track use only..
but it is spot on, C6/Z06 is made out of garbage as appose to the european counter parts, but no one can argue at what it does best..and thats speed...
People who think he is acting predujice have no clue and are one of those who know only so much and accpet only what they know...if you own something, doesnt make it the best in the world..it will have flaws and the flaws were very well put out in this case...the show has a hummor to it, so they tend to exaggerate but they arnt far from the actual analysis...I feel my c6 is quite clumsy in build quality..compared to my G35 and G35 is down low , when it comes to really high end euro stuff..so saying c6 is poor in quality and cribbing about its flaws is just fine..

Steering wheel on the wrong side??? Maybe he forgot which country invented the automobile in the early 1900s.

The guy could only put the car to a 13 something, almost a 14 if I remember, he really shouldn't have a show based on driving ability in a straight line.
None-the-less, I think he's funny as hell and I don't really care what he says about my car, I like it.

This clown loves to dump on American cars. For one thing it makes for a lengthy video. He's gpt jos shorts in a bunch because we and the Germans own all of the "British" car brands. A similar film clip on the British-owned car industry would be very short indeed.

On the reg. c-6 review vid. did I see correctly when the NSX beat the c-6 in a drag race? As the prev. owner of a black on black NSX I can honestly say that without alot of mods. That is impossible, even for a european/Japanese spec. model. The NSX is one of the best executed purpose built sports cars out there, as far as track/handleing goes. Its not a drag car at all. I think the Brits. arent used to vette torque and couldnt launch that thing. As far as int./ext. quality you cant beat an NSX, not even Porsche can. In my opinion at least. But the vette should have beat the NSX in the drag race easily, maybe not beat the tvr but at least the NSX.
