Back from NCM
The wife and I made it back home from the NCM delivery of my first ever Corvette, and I have been nothing but amazed by this car even after reading many descriptions of how this car performs. I'm just in awe of what thing is capable of, and today is first time I've seen three digits on the spedo and 0.85 Gs. Not at the same time of course, but the Gs came shortly after the triple digits on the spedo. I'm know there's more available in both categories, but that's as far as I've been willing to push it so far.
Got into Bowling Green on Sunday 07/30 and got a chance to look around, meet Don who was our delivery guide, and see my new Vette in real life for the first time, but had to wait until the next day for the delivery. Even though we were anxious and excited, we did manage to get some sleep that night due to being worn out from catching an early morning flight to get to Nashville.
We woke up Monday morning and drove back over to the museum to get started with the delivery process. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with
as well as the friendly greetings from the every NCM staff member we came across. Then we met up with Don and he drove us over to the assembly plant and gave us the tour. While we there I asked Don about the recent constraints on the LMB paint, but he had not yet heard about it so he asked one the folks that works in the paint area who told us that they had recently had some trouble getting different panels to match up and could see different shades of blue in different areas of the cars. Then we finished up the plant tour which is just an amazing thing to see. There's so much neat stuff going on all around you whole time you're there that it's impossible to describe without seeing it first hand.
After the plant tour we went back over to the museum and took a short break which gave me a chance to grab a pic of
before we continued with the tour of the museum, getting the paperwork done, and the walk around where they explain the Vette's features and get your personal settings saved.
After these and few other pics, our new Vette was driven outside where we took a few more pics before we were on our way.
That evening, we went up to Mammoth Cave where we spent the night in one of their cabins. I woke up bright and early the next morning and got a few pics of the Vette just after sunrise.
After we did a cave tour and some other stuff in the area we headed back to Bowling Green for lunch, then started back home mid afternoon. We headed back toward Arkansas using mainly back roads and saw some of nicest looking country side I have ever had the chance to see. I thought to myself that everyone has their own impression of what heaven should be like, and at this moment
all I could think of is that this is what I hope it will be like.

Congratulations! I am waiting for the same car. Just to clear up the constraint issue. There is or is not a hold on LMB production? It will really suck to have to wait a couple extra months while gm figures out how to paint a car.

Na Na Na na
I told y'all there was more than one corvette in Arkansas
In all seriousness I would put up Arkansas Corvette ownership per capita with just about anyone. Glad you got your Vette Gota07 we got lots of fun roads to drive in dem dar hills. Be careful though.
