Default Opinions on LT1 option pckg......

Gonna be ordering an 07 this week or next. Trying to decide options and keep my payment reasonable....... What's the concensus on the base equipment pckg........ I've sold my 13th C6 recently but my dealership only orders Pref. #3 (HUD, Heated, Memory) . No idea what base looks like. How's the leather? Should I step up to #2? What about the z51? Are there any REAL benefits apart from the rotors?

Any input appreciated...........
Thank God for GMS.......Getting me in my dream car!
Black w/comp grey wheels.....soon to be replaced with HRE's!(540Rs)

p.s. these mooches come in and want to test drive......Hit the bricks finkelstein........................The hyundai dealer is accross the street.

Default 07

I had the 2lt package in with my c6vert. I ordered a 07 vert with 3 lt. What I really wanted was the Power Top and the better adjustments with the steering wheel. "Telescope".

I think hes a salesman, but his dealer only orders 3LTs.
So hes wondering what a base looks like.
And because of GMS hes getting a 1LT soon.

Or something.

My salesman told me my C5 had a strong 350 6 liter engine. When I got my C6, he told me the same thing. Off topic of the thread, I know. My point is not all salemen are car guys like most of us. To answer the question, I would at least go 2lt so that you have side air bags for safety reasons.

I bought mine fully loaded including 3 lt and NAV. When your spending this kind of money you might as well get it all. I'm very pleased with the package I have.

Why? I mean this, WHY? What if you don't want ''it all''?

The reason your dealership orders the 3LT package is because most Corvette buyers want the Heads Up Display and now this only comes with the 3LT package. If your decision is strictly based on payment, go for the base with no options. However, if you can spring for the 3LT package I would. I would REALLY miss the HUD if I only had the base package.

I was looking for input about the base equipment group. My dealership only orders preffered equipment group three. I haven't seen the leather in the base(LT1) group. I was wondering if theres a big difference in quality. I'll probably end up going with #2, Don't need the heads up, heated seats or programmable seats.(LT3). Yeah I'm a salesman.... well sales mgr. now. Sold my 12th vette on sunday, 13 on Monday (all have been Prefered equipment group three). With and without Nav. Is the z51 really worth the cash? Ride and Handling quality? Just Looking for some opinions from those who may have some real expertise!

Your absolutly right!................. I'm a little more budget conscious. Even at GMS I'm looking at about 38,000 on a 45,000$ vette. Lot of money, I'm coming out of an 2000 SS camaro. (bought it for 16,000)

Yup. You'll forget about the extra $$$ you spent long before you stop enjoying the extra stuff.

GMS for the base coupe is 38,282.05 plus 825 delivery for a total of 39107.05. If you want Z51 you can add another 1356 to bring the total to 40463.05. If you want any of the upscale paints LMB, VY, MR or AO add 240(LMB) or 600 for the other colors. I guess since you work for the dealership you probably won't get the $75 doc charge! Anyway a little bit more than 38000 and you still have to add the tax/title and registration. By the way I have the 1lt with the Z51 MN6 and l am completely satisfied with it.

The original LT1 came out in the 1970 Corvette. A 2nd generation LT1 came out in 1992. But the current Corvette uses the 4th generation LS2.
