Different Forum Vendors Fuel Rail Covers
I am pricing out Fuel Rail Covers with the Forum Vendors. I noticed that the GM Fuel Rail Covers are at least $100 less than one highly regarded vendors price. Does anyone know why? Aren't they all just GM fuel Rail covers that are painted? I want to order tomorrow and don't want to blow an extra $100 for nothing.

Dont know why. I got mine from Fred Bean. He is the cheapest GM parts dealer I could find. They were around $150. Stickers (Flags) were fromm Pipedreams. Don't think he is selling them anymore.

The extra $100 is for "smooth" covers. I have GM's and I am happy with them for $145. GM sprays them as is (no sanding to take out that texture) so they have some level of grain to them. The extra $100 gets you a smoother cover that has been sanded so you get a better gloss.

I ask the Vettshop the same question and got the same answer. Now the question for you is do you want the smoth painted or stock painted? For the reasons given by the Vetteshop I went with their's and received them on time, in great condition and no problems.
