What's the best way to check for painted roof separation?
I heard some weird creaks today driving home. I don't want to take the car to the dealer if it's not necessary. Thanks.

take the roof off the car, and lay it upside down on something soft (blanket). Look at the edges where the frame and the painted portion come together. If the seem is not tight to the panel, you will notice the seperation, then you likely have a panel starting to go bad. GM is suppose to check each with a feeler guage for exact specification, but the home remedy is pretty easy and noticable.
