Here's an option. Don't drop $1000 on a catback, do LG long tube headers instead and keep the stock catback. You'll spend a little more, but you'll pick up a lot more power. The nice thing is it makes the stock catback sound great.

Over time, the OE system will become louder with a very deep throaty sound.

If GHL gets it right, I may try them, but my LG's are sounding better all the time.

The stock setup is a little on the loud side for me. A set of big Caddy mufflers will quiet it down.

The answer is the Magnaflow's 15884 system, sounds great and not bad on the cabin noise.

Much depends on how you perceive "resonance" or "drone" as it's called. Some folks will tell you their exhaust system is nirvana and that same exhaust system installed on your car will be an exercise in audio S&M. And automatics seem to be the most difficult to buy for and all cars and owners respond differently.

There is no "perfect" or "best" after-market exhaust system, anyone that claims there is, is not being honest.

You need to hear for your self any/all system under consideration and make up your own mind. One look in our For Sale Section will support what I say.

Having said all that I'd guess the B&B Rte 66 and ANY Corsa system would be a good starting point.

Good luck

Tom

In that case keep the stock setup. Everything else will be louder.

QTP makes them for the C5, not sure about the C6. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/
I had a buddy with an 02 Z06 with thses puppies, when he flipped the switch hidden in the ash tray his car sounded like a NASCAR. About $400 if I'm not mistaken, best of both worlds.
