1200 miles dilema...
I am planning on going up to NY for a month+ and want to take my C6 with me. I drove it down to Florida where I live, and it was a hell of a trip. I was thinking about taking the Amtrak autotrain, but the guys drive your car on and hold onto the keys Every time I have let my C6 into the hands of someone else, something has gone wrong (Valet, mechanic, etc)
I was thinking about making the drive again, but I don't want to tear up the car. Any suggestions?

Yep drive it, that is what it is for. In 2 weeks I start my vacation, 3 weeks, 5000 to 7000 miles of seeing the back roads of america. It was the number one reason the car was bought.

It sounds like a fun trip in a Vette. But, you are right the Car will take a "beating". The cost of actually driving your Vette.
