This is what owning a Vette is about....
As some of you read, I put the Z06 spoiler on myself, which was scary for me at first.
After doing it I was fine, but still a little nervous about lifting the car myself.
Well, one of the local forum members PM'ed me offering help with anything I needed to do.
I won't mention who, as it should be up to him to offer it to someone else.
But after talking to him, while I was working on installing the alum door sills, it really made me feel like part of something.
For someone to offer help without something in return is amazing.
Anyway, now I know what it is all about. And am glad to be a part of it.

From all the answers before I even went in to order it, to bugman and everyone else who took the time to contact me offering help. AllI have to say is thanks.

Yea....I met Corvette Pilot (fourm member) when I went to his house to get my calipers powdercoated. He treated my car like it was his. The help and suggestions he offered outside of the calipers was just amazing.
Some great people in this Vette club.
A wonderful tradition.

Ya this forum is full of cool people like that. I've had some dealings with a couple people here who just like to help out so we can get the most out of being Corvette owners. It's why we wave!

My best friends were all met through our Corvette passion. Everyone in one way or another has always offered what ever help/assistance and just coming along on a weekend cruise or going out to dinner as a group.
Since I retired from the USAF I find the same camaraderie as I experienced while in uniform. That's cool beyond words.

And this same spirit of helpfulness usually extends beyond just Corvettes.

Corvette is definitely a community like no other.
I've been wrenching on my C3 for a couple of years so I thought I'd taken the edge off that nervous feeling the first time you do something. Then I had to get out a ratchet to put the alt cover from my Dream Package on.... somehow wrenching on a $60,000 car is far more nerve wracking!
