Default Finished engine bay

I finally got around to finishing my engine bay. Thought I'd post up some pics to show the final look. I did all the paint work myself, I also made the oil cap and overflow cap decals and the fuse box cover.

Very nice job indeed. Clean engine. What type of paint did you use?

Default Better than buying bolt ons!

I like it!!! It must be extra satisfying to know you did it yourself.

I used color matched paint from levine auto. Send them your paint code and they will color match it and send it to you in a spray can. Then just clear coat it.

Nice job!

What surface prep do you recommend prior to painting?

I had to sand down the fuse box cover until it was smooth but other than that all I did was put on two coats of primer. I then put on three to four coats of paint and four coats of clear coat.
