In my opinion the guy probably though the Vette was for him and when he finally got it, he realized that he really wanted the Benz.

You can drive any car like a idot and get into trouble. You don't need 500 horsepower to kill yourself or some one else (it just makes it easier) just a loose nut behind the wheel

Its not quite as fast as the Z06 straight line, but its close enough that the dudes still gonna pee his pants. Quarter mile around 11.8 @123 will still blur the scenery pretty good.

Hell - I am 65 (going on 66) and I am not an old geezer, or for that matter a geezer

Driving my C5 with 529 RWHP is not an issue - just use good sense

Going for the Z06, with Lingenfelter turbos next - now that is/will be a ride.

Remember, regardless of age:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, beer in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming......
Damn, What a ride!!

Negatives are that it is noisy (you need to talk pretty loud above 60), sits really low and is firm riding. Once inside it is easy to drive with a light clutch and slick shifter. Really needs driver with younger reflexes and better fear management to realize its potential. It is fine for putting around town but if you give it some throttle it goes into rage, the scenery immediately gets blurry and first time passengers start looking for a barf bag. It has beyond awesome acceleration so even though we like the car we are a bit afraid of it.

LOL As far as I'm concerned this is just a tongue in cheek advertisement. Some poor little ole guy happened to stumble into buying a C6 Z06, and now it's way too much car for him. So what's he going to buy? A MB SL65 AMG. This is a 600 HP $200K car that is almost as fast as a Z, and it can accomodate 5 people. I'm sure that the ole guy will be happy to sell his pristine Z for just a few $K more than he paid for it.
