I have many good memories of my 2 C-5's but I like the C-6 much better however it's still in storage with 1,300 miles....another 30 days or so and it will be in my garage!

I thought the C5 was wonderful when I owned it. Now I think the same about the C6.

But I've always been one to love the one I'm with.

I currently own an '02 QuickSilver Coupe and an '06 MachineSilver Coupe. The C6 is an all around better performer, tighter car. But, IMHO the C5 is a better looking car on both the inside/outside.

Comparing my 2003 AE to my 2006 Z51, there is no comparisson.
The 2006 is superior in every category, hands-down.

Loved the C5, was & remains an outstanding car, a real "looker".
But the C5's also obsolete technology, too.

Not "happy" with my C6, delighted.

I have a C3, C5 and C6 and C6 is AWESOME, my only complaint really is interior cabin room has shrunk and at 6'3" sometimes wished it had the C5 cabin space. But I can live with it for all the upsides.

Had the same issue so I replaced the clutch spring with a C5 spring, and problem cured

As much as I liked my C5, there is absolutely no comparison to the C6, styling and power blow away my 04 vert,,,,,,,,,,,, C6 is the hands down winner IMO...

I guess in many ways I liked my C5 better (I had a 97, and never had a problem). It was my first Vette, so that is part of it.

My take: I love the C6, but its almost too smooth and refined. The C5 was more visceral. Even though the C6 is faster, its almost like the C5 felt faster.

The tires on the C5 had better grip in cold weather, I have the Z51 on my 2005 and it sucks until things are REALLY heated up.

And don't even get me started about the idiotic tom-foolery otherwise known as keyless ignition. There are probably 5 pages in the manual that explain how to start and/or shut down the car. Does anyone know the difference between RAP and ACC? and why they both exist? Would it be so bad to just stick in a key and turn it? And of course all this has something to do with DBS (which I have had multiple times, and now have a priority start).

Love my C6, but I wish I had not had that unfortunate accident with my C5...

Had a 2000 c5 convert. My C6 coupe blows it away. Loved the C5 but the C6 is far way better. All of my friends say the same

I owned 2 C5s, 2002, 2004, both convertibles, the C5 Coupe I never really like, style. The convertible look really good. The C5 look like it went to the gym, kinda like the TV show, the biggest loser. Than came out the C6. It looks buff, lean and meaner. Just my 2cents, the C6 Coupe and Convertible look hot!!

I still have my 2000 C5 and love it, but my C6 is simply better in every way.

Actually they were (are in the case of the 6) both great cars, I do believe (IMHO) that the C5 was a slightly better looking car...

Actually RAP exists to listen to the radio / shut the windows for a peroid of 15 minutes after turning off the car, however, it will stop if you open the door. ACC will do the exact same thing except for stopping after 15 minutes or opening the door...
Also, I do not believe you can run the HVAC controls with RAP...

hope this helps...
