Minor and/or expected issues for an early 05 production. Quality is what I would expect from any first year early run production. Im not sure your poll's choice for its a disaster Im going German is a good one though.. these days German and Quality are opposite ends... believe it or not American makes have higher quality than European makes.... at least every problem Ive had with my vette has been addressed and resolved... cant say the same for my German car...

You missed one option;

"The whining on the Corvette Forum is a disaster!!! I'm buying German next time just to avoid hearing from these miserable cry babies!!".

Now that is what I call an outstanding testamonial! Now will the brainwashed Japanese car lovers take a look at some fine US prime choice fiberglass?

19,550 miles. Two minor problems. First was an oil level sensor that failed at 500 miles, replaced by dealer. Second was at about 14,000 miles, the gas door wouldn't stay closed (door warped), fixed it myself.

I've had two flats, but I don't consider them quality issues, Goodyear paid to replace one tire and repair the other. Recently, I caught a rock on the expressway that chipped the windshield, Safelite came out and repaired it, $56.

The top has made some popping noises lately, checked for delamination but don't see any signs, just noises due to temperature changes I think.

There are a few things I don't like about the car (Blose sound system, bus size steering wheel, overloaded left stalk), but overall the car has been great. The paint doesn't have much orange peel, I like the interior materials and design, the engine is strong as an ox, yet it sips the gallon sparingly, seats are great, ride is good, handling is excellent, etc. A keeper.

I have over 18,000 and no real problems. It's a little noisy but Corvette convertibles are supposed to be.

here's a piece of advice: no car is perfect...not even the german ones. ever owned an audi or volkswagen? own one for a few years and then tell me how "great" german quality is.
You can add the Asian Group to you statement. I have no complaints about the quality on my Vert. It is one of the best cars I have ever had and I have had a bunch.
I was constantly amazed by some of the negative comments on this forum then I finally figured it out.......some people just like to bitch

I voted "no problems", but realize that I might be making my first visit to the dealer after 6 months, as it seems a piece of foam in the driver's seat may have slipped or something like that. Still, that's not the worst that could happen.

I've only had one problem. On day 4 of ownership, a nut worked itself loose on the starter and the battery stopped charging. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it within 30 minutes saying "We see a ton of these on the C5, but I was really hoping the C6 would've fixed it."

Even though its only one problem, it is an incredibly annoying one (loose nut, smacks of shoddy workmanship), and on day 4 of ownership to boot, completely unacceptable.

No problems in the 7 weeks since then, but everytime I get in the car (and it's my daily driver) I wonder if today is the day it leaves me stranded. It will take at least a year of absolutely 0 problems to restore my faith.

My brakes squeel like a city bus. That is my only gripe. Love the Car!
