I never thought I'd see another pony car competition...and to be started (again) by Mustang is only appropriate. In the words of that Russian comedian..."Is this a great country, or what!?"

I love it, GM Please build it. Though, it doesn't have the charm of my '67 Camaro SS 396/375 4spd. I wonder if it'll come in SS & Z28 versions. A classic bumble bee front stripe might look nice.

Had an opportunity to see the Camero today at the LA Auto Show. Trust me, its not anything like the Mustang --- the Camero is much larger is overall size. I was impressed with the lines, the overall "I'm a bad *ss" attitude. Something I noticed that I thought was interesting, the car was up on a turntable, but everyone that was looking at the car --- circled around, still was standing a good 10 to 15 feet away from the rail of the stage. Its a reworking of a classic muscle car look. Not very refined, no finesse.
But it's no Vett. But it does Chevy well --- I hope it also sells well.

I think the car is sweeet. Just about every angle of the exterior looks mean an aggressive. The grill/nose and interior need more work but I like the direction. As noted also by others - I would (also) buy this car as a daily driver. I already informed my wife that when it comes out, it will be our next vehicle purchase.
I can't decide - metalic silver with black racing stripes or all silver. Chevrolet hurry, I'll start clearing a spot in my garage.

Dont like GM should have followed what Ford did with the new Mustang and make the Camaro body as close to the origional just retro the body ever so slightly. The new design reminds me of the XLR by Caddy

Don't have an interest in this since I have a 'vette and intend to keep it. However, if it had been available at the time I might have looked at it hard.
I had a '77 Firebird (all 177hp of it!) that I loved driving in HS. It shook and had a ton of squeks, but it was so easy and fun to balance in a four-wheel drift around corners. If Chevy can put together a car with super controlable oversteer like that car with acceleration closer to the 'vette for mid-30s they'd have a HUGE hit.
IMHO, they do need to tone down the angular styling cues in the front clip that they're getting from Caddie - I always like the Camaro a bit more than the Firebird because of the rounded fenders in front. Also they gotta completly revise that awful interior.

They need to offer 3 models: 200 HP 3.8 V6 girlie model; RS model w/ the 300 HP 5.3 L V8 (same motor as the Tahoe / Suburban /Silverado cheap and - plentiful and even gets decent mileage), and the Z28 w/ the 400 HP LS2. I doubt if they'll keep the console guages. That's just a throw back to the Gen 1 Camaro. No way would they want drivers looking away from the road to look at the gauges.
BTW - there's no E in Camaro.
Good move GM. Push this one through
p.s. thanks to the moderators for leaving this one open here. I tried to "chat" about this on the fbody section but that board is dead.

This is a very exciting time for cars, I am ecstatic thinking about the new vehicles that are being pumped out!

I have to say this is a very inpresive concept...and if it hits the streets will be a very hot car and those geting them will pump them up with more HP no doubt!!!!!!!!
I would sure buy one if I could afford both my vette and it.
