Ray emailed me yesterday - said it's was shipped via UPS. Their expected shipping for the removable model was mid-month.

Update: received today (22 Dec) - quality and engineering look good.

Exactly. When I ordered mine Ray sent me an e-mail stating the removable unit would ship mid-December and he would e-mail me when it went out. However its past mid-month and I haven't received mine yet. But I'm not that concerned........yet.

I did not even get an email I know it must be mom and pop kinda business and it is christmass. I am not concerned 'yet' either just want to know he got my money and will be sending the unit soon my end of virginia the LEO go looking for vettes with no front plates. I did not have front plate on my supra and one guy gave me warning and then a week later actuallly cruised my neighorhood to seeif I had put it on. Jeez you would think they had better things to do. At this point since I am going to mount a detector also verboten in VA land of the free I do not want to be stopped and give them a chance to see the dector( 80 fine in addition to the hassle of no plates plus sometimes the confiscate the dector and it meets with an accident before you get it back.)

ADDENDUM peter C checked withTop Flight and my unit was mailed out to me and is probably caught in the xmass rush.

I bet they got overwhelmed after all the kind words here. Give them a little time to catch up. Their product is definitely worth waiting for...

Thats exactly how mine was handled. I just think they got swamped with orders plus the removable unit is a new item.

Order my removeable mount on 22 Dec 2005. Receive an immediate email with the shipping data. Ray Anthony at topflightrepro@yahoo.com responded the next day.

Hope this helps

Just received the removable one the other day and Ray even sent me a PM asking me if I received it and if I was happy with the unit.

It is very well made but I haven't installed it as yet as it needs to be at least 60° to affix. By the way the instructions are in color and are very detailed as well.

I installed the top flight bracket last month. Had similar concern with 60 degree recommnendation. Noticed that the GM front bracket instructions recommended the front fascia have a temperature of 60. Didn't want to wait till spring and have no heated garage so I heated the fascia with hair dryer. Hasn't fallen off yet.

As long as the Fascia and bracket are heated to the reccomended temp you should be golden......

Jim, I can answer this one - the plate frame is straight but am sure it's flexible enough to follow the bend.
