Default FYI ...race results C5 ZO6 cpe vs. c6...Road America

This summer I matched my c6 (a4) vert against a c5 ZO6...on track

Bottom line....pert near dead heat...

Gaps in the corners and at shift points...

bottom line:BOTH are good. On a 4 mile road track 2 laps just funnin' and smilin...it was a toss up. We both agreed it was too close too call...neither of us cared...it was fun.

Were you allowed to let your cars really hang it out, or was it one of the cruises they do during the mid day break when you have to keep speeds in check and follow a pace car?

Just out of curiousity - what were your lap times if you know? Minutes and seconds?

Didn't have the meter on...restricted laps with pace car...we just laid way back and dicked around... caught up...got to 132mph then cooled it.

Wasn't full bore wot all the way around.

#2....we laid back and hammered the straights tho...saw 130 plus once and was not wot all the time.

If you don't pass on the turns they won't throw you off...you can hammer the 2 long straights...

I'd buy a ZO6 if I was on a fixed budget....

I'm reluctant to post whaT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY IT IS AT 75 BUCKS TO GO VINTAGE RACING AT r/a!
iT limits the # of participants.

Highly recommend it.

I love the Trans Am vintage races, I'll be there next year, for $75 that would surely be worth it

I have tracked my A4 C6 Coupe and I would bet the Z06 C5 MN6 would turn faster laps in capable hands. The A4 really sucks for down shifts.
