Is Satellite radio really worth it?

I like the XM, especially the comedy stations and I'll be renewing when my 3 month trial use is over.

Never listen to anthing else. In my opinion, it's well worth it, you have a tremendoes selection of music without commercials, lots of talk radio, sports and localized traffic and weather. Wouldn't be without it..,

We've made 2 trips in our C6, home from the Museum delivery and to Branson, MO. The XM was nice! No searching for local stations, no fade. Great selections of genre. I could live without it but don't plan to.

Declined the install and now enjoy local radio
BTW, Direct TV replaced their music stations with XM several weeks ago.

Got it for my wife's car last week for her birthday. IMO, no its not worth it. Same stuff thats now on DirecTV.
Wanted to sign me up for a 5 year plan at over $500.00. I said no thanks. I signed up for a year at $114.00 and IMO thats about $100.00 more than its worth.
Looking forward to my MP3 upgrade next week as I rarely drive my Vette in the winter anyway. When I can get nearly 200 songs on a disc, and listen to those over a long trip, why pay for a monthly or yearly subscription for XM?

I like it, and will probably subscribe again, adding it as the second receiver on my subscription.

I didn't get it in my C6 because I'm a Sirius subscriber and didn't really want XM. I have Sirius at home, in my store, and in my family sedan, and listen to it all the time. Local radio is limited here, so satellite radio is the only way I can get a variety of music choices.

I never thought I would pay for radio, but after the free trial I had to renew. Then I put it in the wife's car.
Some people like Sirius, some XM. If your a music person, XM is the way to go (plus your car is equipped with it), but if you prefer talk radio, Sirius is a little better (IMO).

Don't have it any more. It was ok but I became irritated when they raised the price. Needs more selection IMHO! It would be nice if GM installed equipment compatible with both XM and Sirius. Then one could choose as I here Sirius is better. I for sure would like to get the NFL which is not available via XM.

Only worth it if you can get it for under $5 a month. We refused to renew many times on my wife's '04 Suburban. They finally called and she got them down to $3 a month. She still refused, so I don't know if that was a long term offer or not...

I don't understand why people enjoy it so much. To me, the music they play sucks. The only time I listened to it was on long trips and even then I couldn't wait to get to a local station to play good music. I didn't update my subscription.

It's great at 77.00 per year with the "Zwinback" code. Don't know if I would want it at 12.95 per month, although "Top Tracks" & "XM comedy" are pretty good channels
