Where is the Torch Red C6 ???
I just received a promotional catalog of country music artists posing with Chevys. It is put out by the country music assoc. and is called, "A Year In Country Music/ Country Takes NYC". On the cover is a C6 (a ZO6) in what appears to be Torch Red. It is beyond belief gorgeous and is THE color this car needs. I have not heard of the Torch Red being issued yet for the C6. Is it or is it just the lighting that makes this car appear so. I own a red C4 and am trying to hold off buying the C6 until the torch red comes out. Any word if it is planed? Will I be too old to drive by then or will GM come to their senses and revive the color for 2006. Also, does anyone know when the 2006 models will begin appearing on the showroom floor? If you think the C6 is beautiful now, just try to imagine it in Torch Red. It will blow your mind.

No torch red C6s and the 2006 C6s should be on dealers' showroom floors - they've been building them since early September.

As the new C6’s began leaving Bowling Green buyers noticed that no Corvettes were painted with the classic exterior color…Torch Red. Magnetic and Precision Red were offered as replacement colors for Torch Red beginning with the 2005 model year. The Corvette Brand Team believed these colors were not as garish and gave the C6 a classy look. Plant Manager Wil Cooksey and GM Vice President Joe Spielman did not agree with this decision. On June 25, 2004 this one and only C6 was painted C5 Torch Red (1G1YY24U855100273) by the factory and shipped to Detroit for color evaluation.
