Default Army Veteran

US Army Aug 65 - May 68. Great experience, met great friends, wouldn't want to make it a career.

US Navy 1965 to 1992. Destroyers and Guided Missile Destroyers in the fabulous Gulf of Tonkin -- then on to a great ride doing engineering and R&D until retirement.

"I can think of no more rewarding career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhil, I think he can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy'" --John F. Kennedy, 1963

U.S. Navy 1969 - 1973

Attack Squadron VA-115 (Grumman A-6 all weather attack bombers, aka Arabs) which served in the Gulf of Tonkin on the U.S.S. Midway. The Midway is now a Museum in San Diego.

From Catapult launches to C6 launches.... What a life. Glad to have served and still enjoying the adrenalin of life.

We were in the USAF basically the same period. I almost transferred into F16's, I was waiting on a pilot slot and ran out of time age wise. One of my life regrets. 1980-2002

I agree totally. Also a special Thank you to their Parent's for raising Patriotic Sons and Daughters. It does say alot about the Quality of the Person.

There are many who do not know how lucky they were just to be born in America. There are alot of People who think that the Freedom's and Right's they take for granted didn't come with a Price, it's just automatic. Spend a year in Iran or Saudi Arabia or Russia or North Korea or any of countless other Countries around the World.

My prayers are with you and your Sons and Daughters.
