At least the birdcage (roof/pillars) held together well. The occupants were probably OK.

this is why some dealers do not give test drives to every tom, dick or harry that walks thru the door.

That was my reaction...I was glad to see how well it held up. The interior passenger cabin seems whole and intact. Other than some broken glass, the passengers probably walked away.

scuse my ignorance, but how exactly do you roll a C6 on a test drive? (this is asked without sarcasm)

I assume driver must have hit something, probably side on? because to roll these cars seems virtually impossible without a collision of some sort? or unless you are going 100mph+ and just completely lose control on a very uneven road surface?

It isn't my avatar but it is an 18, the picture was taken off of the deck of an aircraft carrier just as the F18 went supersonic. The egg cloud is the condensation from the pressure build up as he punches through to mach 1. Awesome photography, I believe it won some awards if memory serves.

That or it was a husband and wife test drive, and the wife decided to put her feet up on the dashboard...the husband lunged at her bare feet, screaming "Noooooooooo!", lost control of the car, rolled it, etc. etc. etc.

This is a lesson for all women who think it is ok to put their feet on the dashboard.

My guess is that there was no front impact damage to deploy the airbags. The front end damage probably occured from the roll itself, with no front impact.

Airbags are designed to go off in a frontal collision and not a roll over. The airbag in my Acura Legend did not deploy when my brother rolled it back in '92.
