Subject: ADDENDUM TO THE 2005 MY GM SUPPLIER DISCOUNT PROGRAM
Message #: BAI20051279-02
1. PROGRAM NUMBER/NAME/TEMPLATE TYPE:
PROGRAM NUMBER: ADDENDUM TO 05-10-*
PROGRAM NAME: 2005 MODEL YEAR GM SUPPLIER DISCOUNT PROGRAM
THIS IS A REPLACEMENT OF ADDENDUM TO PROGRAM NUMBER 05-10-* (ADMIN.
MESSAGE NUMBER BAI20051279-01).
THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES ARE RESTRICTED FROM THE GM SUPPLIER DISCOUNT
PROGRAM EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2005:
CHEVROLET:
2005 CORVETTE
SEE PROGRAM NUMBER 05-10-* FOR COMPLETE DETAILS.
THIS IS THE END OF THE ADDENDUM TO CORPORATE PROGRAM NUMBER 05-10-*.
This is what a dealer passed on to me when I sent a copy of Ken's newsletter to him showing that Jun 3rd onwards vette is back on the program, now I am confused.
Anybody can clarify?
Also does that program include the 2006 C6 as well or would that come after the july end order date?
Thanks

It Did Change
According to Ken Fichtner's newsletter of 9 June he quoted, in its entirety, the latest mod to GM's everchanging discounting program.
According to the change, both GM Employee (GMS) and GM Supplier discounting are available on Corvettes effective 3 June 2005 through 30 September 2005. Now, of course, the fun begins in finding a dealer who will accept (they are not required to do so) the discount.

Retired & lovin' it!
That's correct....Corvette is excluded from the program. If you go onto the Chevrolet website & scroll thru the listed models, you'll see that Corvette is not listed.

If you are asking about the GM Employee Discount for everyone that is being advertised everywhere, Vettes are excluded.

good luck getting a truthful answer from a dealer on this subject. I spoke with a few dealers and one said that GM does not allow it. Then I checked this forum and people said it was avail. So i went to another dealer who I have dealt with before and they said GM would not allow it, then I challenged him and he agreed that "the dealership would not honor it because it is prime corvette season".
So I said "what if i was planning to buy in Aug. or sept., would your answer change?" he agreed that they would probably honor the discount on a 2005 in the fall.
I would like to know official GM policy on this as well. I would also like to know if it is effective until Sept 30 because that gives me some extra time to look around.
If I were you, I would keep calling around until you find a dealer who will sell at the supplier price.

GM employee discount for everyone is a completely separate promotion that specifically excludes the vette.
