And you can upgrade the base seats in the Z06 to sports seats too. I just did this project on my 99 coupe (I had black base seats) and after 5.5 years I wanted a change. So I ordered all the parts and did the upgrade.
A very easy mod and the sport seats look and feel much better than my base seats.

Re: RED interior (OCD)
Just at $1100 and its totally doable by any of us. It helps to have a buddy since extra hands are always a plus. We could have had it done in a little over 4 hours (2 per seat) but we spent over an hour trying to figure out where to cut the power seat control holes in the bottom seat cover. They don't come pre-holed.
I opted for OEM seat covers for just at $650 but you could spend over $2K buying VETTE ESSENTIALS hides. I knew I would be selling my car in a year for a C6 so there was no way I was going to drop over 2 large for seat covers.
I think they came out nice.

Re: RED interior (AFVETTE)
yea it definitely came out awesome, yea there is no way i would spend anything over 1k on seat covers, i would rather put that money in other places, but 650 is not bad at all, thanks for the info

When I bought my Z06 I didn't really care what external color it was, but it had to have the Mod Red interior. It was really a tough choice cause I liked 'em all. I had done silver before (see sig) so I opted for Torch Red
