Your choice of wax to use...
I am wondering what all of you would recommend as the best car wax for the Z06. I don't want to spend the money for Zaino, I would rather use a regular store-bought brand. Please vote for your #1 choice and feel free to add any brands you can think of that I did not mention. Also, which brand makes a good swirl-mark remover? - Thanks

I would still go with Zaino, it doesn't cost much more :steering: http://www.zainobros.com

Zaino is a great product with a strong following, but I've used Meguiar's on all of my vehicles for years with great success. :yesnod:
Plus, if you run out of Meguiar's, you can go to just about any auto supply store to restock!

I'm not a big waxer and I've still yet to wax my Z06. I have used Z6 on it a few times. Luckily it is a garage queen and it does not sit in the sun for very long.
Last week I put one coat of Z2 with the ZFX additive on my 9 year-old daily driver and I followed it up with the Z6 spray. This car has never been garaged and it is out in all of the major N/E snow storms. The car's finish is all original and it now looks absolutely fantastic. I've had this car since it was new and I've only waxed it about 4 or 5 times. This is the first time I've used Zaino on it.

I added Cherry Wet Wax to the poll. Here are some pics--I know, they aren't Corvettes, much less Z06s but they do 'shine': http://www.f150online.com/forums/sho...hreadid=114209

I don't really want to use Zaino, not only for the price, but because if I run out, then I would like to be able to run up to the store and buy some and wax all in the same day. How often should I wax the Z, if it's rarely in the rain, but often in the sun? - Thanks

Zaino, of course! I just put new coat of it on yesterday (its been almost a year since I put 2 coats on), and I'm still amazed at how good it looks. Just when you think your car looks good, Zaino makes it look that much better.
I'm also impressed with how well Zaino takes out light scratches. My freakin cat walked all over my car during the winter when I was in NY with very muddy paws, and put scratches wherever he walked. One coat of Zaino, and the scratches all vanished without a trace. Swirl marks gone too :hurray:

I have tried almost all the waxes out there and to me Zaino is the best....It has the best shine and durabilty. ....and it is probably one of the cheapest out there due to how little you use.I can get at least 25+ coats out of one bottle.

Dumb question from a rockie.... Where is the best place to buy Zaino?
I've been on the F-body forum for years but never used it on my Z28 - I think the Vette deserves the best.. ;)

Hi VetteCrazy02 -
http://www.malms.com - they will send you a small sample -
I use the pink for swirls (have not had this on my Z) and the yellow liquid.
I will be at the CI with the Z all "malmed up" for comparison...
best regards -

Zaino!
It goes a loooong way. It really costs only a little more than the waxes.
Just look at the results! It's worth every cent to me.

Re: Your choice of wax to use... (LT)
I use 3M Machine Glaze for scratches and swirls followed up by Impereal Hand Glaze to add some oils back into the paint and to get rid of any final swirls. Then I follow it up with whatever wax I am using. I used to use Super Glaze, but it didn't last very long. Now, I am using Zymol which is cheap, but according to the wax test I saw lasted just about as long as anything else made.
I'm sure Zaino is nice and all, But what I am using seems to work ok, and on my other cars, I have a stack of ISCA trophies to show they look pretty nice and shine pretty well.

Once you use Zaino, you will NEVER use anything else!!
Besides, it is fun to Zaino a car, and see it really come top life right before your eyes!
