Default Any chance i could find a super high mileage Z06 for around $27k???

I know, that's probably a big NO but thought i'd check.

I'm looking to spend around $27k (give or take) and would love an '01 Z06 with some miles. I talked to a guy at Xtreme motorsports that said i just missed an '01 with 9k miles that a guy traded in for $30k!!!!

Doesn't hurt to ask!!!

I think you should plan on about 40K for a '02 with 10,000 approx. miles.

I know, i know, hilarious....

If you don't believe me about the Z06 the guy traded in for $30k, call Chad at Xtreme! Here was me after he told me the guy traded it in two days ago...
:banghead:

I jumped on Auto Trader and i think i found it at the local dealer: $37,500. Not a bad profit for them!

Give it a year and you will. As you know - vettes don't hold their value - too many are produced.

Possibly a convertible with less than 10k miles, otherwise, the '98's i've looked at are in the $23-$25 range, mint, with low miles.

I live in CA and can confirm low prices, there was a $16,900 98 A4 with 90k miles not long ago. As for the Z06 best I've heard was low 30s, and that itself is desperation/dumb luck.

I just checked a local Long Island, NY paper and the 98s are going in the $26k - $33k range.

Long Island may be an acception. Why spend $10k more for the same car? Since Ebay, i think we all know no ones paying that much!

Monica at Maxie Price has a black 02 Z06 for sale NOW for $37000. I've seen here on the forum 01'sfor sale in the low $30's. A realistic answer would be "Of Course! Just wait until Fall"

W A C K O !

No good prices here in Canada!

ALL THE CARS GO SOUTH TO THE USA!

And vettes hold their value. Watch the C5's go higher when the C6's are out. You'll see.

-Bill. Z06, C5 for me~! :hurray:

Look at the "What a Waste of 50K" post and I think you'll get the idea of what that 27K burning a hole in your pocket will get you! :steering: :reddevil

Bought my 01 Z with 13K miles 3 months ago for $34K, so I would say it's possible, but not probable. I got mine for several thousand under what the dealer had in it (had been sitting on their lot for six months) and I have a friend who knows the GM. I honestly wouldn't expect to see even a high mileage one go for less than low $30s, but you never know. With the economy the way it is, a lot of people are having to get rid of their toys.

I ended up with the next best thing. A 2000 FRC Z06 Clone (around $10,000 in mods to make it a Z06 Clone) with 24k miles on it. And for thousands less.

As we all know, it's tough to get your money back out of mods!! I'm definitely benefitting from that!

When i get it figured out, i'll put a picture of the car in my sig (i don't have a website).

I will sell you my modded 03 with 6k miles on it for $27K..........
Plus another check for $20k

Seriously, I doubt you could find an 01 for under $30k. I have seen 01's go for as much as $38k and 02's for $44k. But just keep searching maybe you will get lucky.
