What is the best Throttlebody
Throttle Bodies, What is best?
Looking to get a new Throttle Body but I am confused with all the different ones out there. Some are new some are ported exchange. What is the best bang for the buck. Is it worth the investment or should I place my money elsewhere? I already have a Blackwing, New Granatelli Modified MAF,Carbon fiber air bridge and Throttle body H2O Bypass.

I have the same question that you have? There are guys out there who port their own. Thinking about that also.
Do ported throttle boddies make a SOTP difference?

Lingenfelter has an excellent deal on TBs. We can buy the same one they use on all their setups. I believe it's around $ 189 (89?) + 150 for the core charge. They credit after the exchange is sent in. Call Lingenfelter and talk to Ed Potter. Most guys feel a big SOTP difference as reported here and on LS1.TECH.

Best deal for the money would be a Shaner S2 exchange, but I would not expect a big gain from this mod.

i contacted Russ Collins atRC Fuel Injection and he drives a Vette. He stated to me the throttle body doesn't need to be modded as it is large enough in the stock size.I am sure he wouldn't say that if it wasn't a fact.He doesn't want to turn down business, but he said there isn't any advantage to enlargeing the throttle body.Tel #:(310)782-1346 :chevy :chevy :flag :flag :chevy :chevy

There are two ways to measure horse power, by a dyno meter and by the feeling in your butt as you accelerate SOTP.
