Z06 hard to get in and out?
Hey guys I'm new and am looking to get a z06 some time soon, But im a big guy 225lbs to be exact. Any other heavy guys or gals here that own a z06 that can tell me if it is a real chore to get in or out, or does it not really require anymore effort than it would to get into a camaro.
Well let me know,
thanks you all seem like great people!

Once the seat springs are shot, at around six months of use, it gets pretty hard to get out without spliting the crotch seam in my jeans.
Ok, here is my real answer. The C5 is quite a bit easier than the C4 and I think it was easier getting in and out of my little ladys 93 Firebird. My $.02 probably won't help you much since I only weigh 150. :D

Haven't owned a Camaro but the Z is about the same as a coupe. I kinda liked the telescope wheel though. :( I try to sit down sideways then pivot to save wear on my bolsters. It's worth whatever effort it takes to get in or out IMO. :yesnod:

I'm 6ft., 290 lbs. There is a certain trick to getting in and out. My biggest problem is making sure that my shoes don't scuff the sill (which is why I got a sill cover)

It's all in the technique. Sit and swivel works for me. As noted, entrance and egress are a LOT easier than a C4, which requires a shoehorn.
Look at it this way ... you'll spend 30 seconds getting in and out of it, and most of your time driving it. Who cares how convenient it is?

It's different than a current model Camaro- easier in some ways, harder in others. Same situation vs. a C4, IMO. The sucker is low.
One minor problem is that the factory 'easy exit' setting doesn't really take the seat far enough back to get the side bolster out of the way and take the door/sill area out of play. IMO.

I am 6'4" 270lbs and I don't have any problems getting in and out of my 2000 FRC.

I'm 6'1" and close to 3 bills and have no problem. The seat does look a bit squished after 5 months but it's still comfy! :D

I had a 1993 C4 and the C5 is much easier to get in and out of. I am in your weight bracket and I think the the Z06 is really comfortable.

I can get in really easy, but no matter how hard I try, it is very very difficult to get out of the car, until it runs out of gas. :D

Ultimate,
I'm 6'0', 230 lbs and what I did is program the the Z06 through the Driver Information Console (DIC) for the 'eazy entry' option which moves the seat all te way back when you take your key out so that you can enter /exit without any problems. Works great! :yesnod:

I'm 6'1/290lbs and have no problem...keep the seat all the way back all the time!!! If you think it's a problem getting into the Z06, try a Viper...I feel like I'm getting an MRI!!!
