Default Yet another tire thread

Need some help. I have a stock 03 Z06 and I am wondering what other sizes I can run. I know I need to stay between .5 and 1.5 inch tire diameter difference from front to rear. Can I run 255-40-17 and 285-35-18? Also what other sizes could I run? This is a daily driver that will not be taken to the track in the near future if anyone wants to recommend a specific tire. I'm looking to spend as little as possible but I also want to be safe for "spirited driving"

255/40/17 + 285/35/18 will work.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-760 in stock sizes work great for street driving and look right on the car.

Would the Bridgestone potenzas in stock size or Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110 in sizes above be better? Hankooks are $200 less.

get an idea of what you want the tire to do

a few choices are

1. nitto nt05, good warm dry weather, some of the best handling potential for near stock sizes. not good in the rain, around a 15-20k mile life

2. bridgestone 760. poor handling, numb steering response, but comfy and long lasting. also not good in the rain

3. the hankook v12 if you use the 285/255 would be better than the 760 imo. better in the rain, dry and similar treadlife, maybe a hair less.

bang for the buck it's going to be really hard to beat the V12 since they are on closeout. it's a better tire than the 760 and cheaper
