Oh my. What a mess. I feel bad for you.

Good luck with the insurance. No amount of buffing is going to fix that one.

The kit was hooked up, the bottle was not. I had a permit to transport nitrous, so I should not have any issues there.

Well in his defense, if he's who I'm thinking of, the car seemed like it was sorted.

so was the dash wiring ever tampered with or was it completely stock? This seems odd

Sorry for your loss

Very odd. Willing to bet this was attributed to the nitrous activation/switch panel wiring.

Glad you made it out ok !
That sucks big time !
Sorry for the loss of your car. I hope you can get another.

Many of my freinds (and myself) have modified motors.
I got a Halon extinguisher for that "just in case" moment.
I sure hope I will never need it, but its nice having it.

Sucks. Had a small engine fire happen to my 1970 Challenger, but nothing like that. Glad you are ok...

Good thing you're ok and you're covered it could have been A LOT worse but I'm reminded of the part in Christmas Vacation when the Christmas tree burns up and Uncle Lewis says "at least it's out of its misery" I miss my WS6 too man maybe it was just fate..

Yeah that was this mess, after all was said and done the car ended up running its ***** off. best was 11.0@128 on a 1.74 60' which was far from my best 60'. Had 10s in it easy with just headers exhaust and 150 shot

I would not be able to tell you as I was never in the section of the dash where it started.

I thought so at first but none of it was armed, so none was seeing power, it was all fused, and where the pop and arching I heard was in a completely different part of the dash. The car was such a mess it wouldnt surprise me if someone else had something wired up and took it out hacking it back together.
